Monday treatin' a few Zara Buys!

Good evening guys! I hope your Monday wasn't too awful & if it was it's nearly over now!

I headed in to zara today to see a jacket I posted on my facebook & Instagram this morning but it hasn't arrived in stores yet!
While I was in there ALOT caught my eyes but I held back and picked up two great pieces which i loved.

I got these fab sunglasses which were only €14.95, they're a little more multi coloured in real life & I love the rounded frame!

You can buy them here:

Here's a better pic online:
Next I picked up this gorgeous crisp white shirt which looks just like a Cos shirt at a fraction of the price!

I love the boxy shape of this..

Now when I left the store I ended up buying the jacket on my Zara app, I'm so happy I did, I know it'll sell out as soon as it comes into stores! I'll post pictures as soon as I get it so you can see it on for sizing etc. I felt it would be one of those things I'd regret not getting so I can't wait for it to arrive!

Here's the link to buy it online before it reaches stores & sells out!

Just a short post for a Monday but I'm slowly starting to feel like a blogger again posting regularly! The longer I was leaving it the more I felt irrelevant, and didn't think there was a point. But I'm so glad to be back!

If there is anything you'd like me to talk about please let me know. I'm a trained skincare consultant with Caudalie Avene & Nuxe so if you'd like a skincare post let me know in comments!

What I wore- Castlemartyr Wedding!

Good evening all!

I attended a wedding at the weekend in the very beautiful surroundings of Castlemartyr Manor in Cork. I fell in love with the scenic grounds and the decor inside the manor was just stunning!

This was my first wedding as a 'grown up', and I stressed out a bit about what I was going to wear! Because we travelled to Cork and stayed two nights in the venue the budget for my outfit was a lot less than I would've liked! I bought my dress, headpiece and my bag on ASOS, the jacket and shoes were Penneys & I did my hair, tan and make up myself. I wish I took better pictures of mine & Daniel's outfit but we are both AWFUL for taking pictures! We're usually too busy laughing, eating or dancing and then it's time to sleep and we have three pictures of the whole day!

Anyway here is my look in as good pictures as I have!

The bag was the star of the show.. I can't wait to style this on my days off!

Buy the dress here:

Headpiece:

And the BAG!!

It was the coolest wedding ever, with a Barbershop Quartet, a sweet shop, an Instagram booth, I'm so sad it's all over!

This is quite a short post for me, but I'm as shook as a bag of cats.

Hope you enjoyed nonetheless, enjoy your Sunday evening!

11 things that happen to every Irish couple going on holidays- or maybejust me...

1-
The idea. This is where it all starts. Whether born on a drunk night out or as a result of being invited somewhere, this is where the magic begins...

2-

Trying to save all of your money for the weeks leading up to the big holiday.
No one fears not having enough money more than an Irish couple.

3-

Going on a healthy eating binge to look your best which lasts until about Monday at 11am.
We started at 10am. On the same day.

4-

Pretending to be really really busy on your last day of work but all you can think is holiday holiday holiday holiday

5-

Going to the credit union and taking out every cent of savings you have while avoiding the judgmental stare of Angela behind the counter hoping she won't mention this to your mum.

6-

The packing: expectation- 'I'm so bloody organised I love going on holidays, I'll fold all my clothes neatly like this...'

The reality- 'I BLOODY HATE PACKING SO MUCH I HATE ALL MY CLOTHES WHY IS THIS SUITCASE SO SMALL AND WHY ARE MY SHOES SO AWKWARD!!!!!'

7- how did I end up with 5 bags? How are two of these just make up? *questions life*

8- the journey to the holiday. Always bloody awful. You're sweating in your summery clothes, your already fighting with your other half and WHY DO I HAVE SO MANY BAGS?!

9- €16 for a single ticket to Cork????!!

10- do ye take student cards?

11- arriving at the location: expectation- Being whisked to your luxury suite by a butler holding a tray of champagne,

Reality - dragging your 20 million bags in sweaty heat in to the hotel and being greeted by a chocolate covered child who insists on dancing around you... WHERE ARE HIS PARENTS?!

My Honest Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Review!

A couple of weeks ago I gave in to temptation and bought the iconic Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow. As I was standing at the counter in Brown Thomas clutching a €50 note I was trying not to spend my entire month's wages on one of everything in the range. I decided to go for the wonder glow because I thought it was a great start off product and I still can't quite justify spending €65 on the contour palette.

My first thoughts were on how beautiful the packaging is and how nice it feels to actually own a piece of Tilbury. I loved the smell instantly and I was as dying to try it. It's a golden champagne-y colour and it quite soft-almost mattiflying- when put on the skin. I had heard so much about the whole range that to be honest I was expecting it to completely transform my face in to a golden goddess with a face like Helen of Troy. Perhaps I was a little overzealous! It does give a lovely glow to the skin and makes your skin look very radiant, but I think, with my skin anyway, that it works better when wearing less makeup, or on no make up days.

This is wearing it with relatively no make up just a tinted moisturiser!

When I have nights when I'm wearing more make up than usual I have to say I don't know I if it actually makes too much of a difference..

As I said it's quite mattifying so oilier skin would love this to keep shine at bay and give light to the skin.

The question, is it worth the money?

Ok, firstly I'll answer this as a typical girl who loves products and buying endless new make up, and buying in general:

If you can afford €49 for a highlighter / primer then it's definitely one to add to the wishlist. It's a nice addition to your make up bag and it's my go to on no make up days because it makes you look like you have really good and healthy skin.
And hello, all hail Charlotte Tilbury.

However - if you really can't afford €49, on something that I wouldn't say is a 'must buy' then I would trot right on in to MAC and pick up a 30ml of Strobe Cream for €10, you cannot go wrong! This is more moisturising and when you are wearing heavier makeup it makes you look so god damn dewy.

Have you tried the Wonder Glow yet? Will you be investing?
